If you want to connect remotely to a computer, you can use Remote Desktop Connection (not TeamViewer).

¶ Connecting remotely
- If you are an EPFL member, you should have remote access aleady. Just make sure the PC is booked via PPMS
- Start your Remote Desktop Manager on your computer
- Locate the AD name of the PC (SV-XX-XXX) from the table below
- On your Remote Desktop Manager, enter the AD name. (eg. for the Zeiss LSM 710, enter
SV-01-371)
For MAC users or VPN users, if the AD-name is not sufficient, try the AD-name followed by intranet.epfl.ch , ie

¶ SafeNet
PCs that are not running Windows 10-11 are migrated to a SafeNet which needs a special protocol for remote connections, Please see our Windows SafeNet page.
