¶ How to connect
Connect to https://gitlab.epfl.ch and enter your gaspar credentials.
¶ Where to find your projects
- If you are not in the main GitLab page, click on the Fox on the top-left.
- Then, under the
Projectpage, select theMembertab. - Click on the project you are interested in
¶ How to use issues
The issues are used to communicate with BIOP collaborators. This channel is better than the email one, because it keep tracks of the conversation over time, and attached it to the corresponding project.
Please, if
- you have any request / wanted to improve part of the script(s)
- you found any bug
- you have any questions
open an new issue in the corresponding project.
If you want to answer a question, or populate a discussion which has already an issue open, please click on this issue and add a comment.
¶ Create a new issue
To do so,
- Click on the project
- On the right, click on
Issue
- Then, click on
New issue
- Add a title. The title should summarize as best as it can what will be discussed in the issue.
- In the description, add your request/bug report.
Note: in the description, explain as precise as possible your request. If it's a bug, include
the error message if there is one, add screenshots if possible...
Hint: To send an email notification to someone, you can type
@gasparin the description, by replacinggasparby the gaspar username of person you would like to contact.

¶ Populate an existing issue
- Click on the project
- On the right, click on
Issue
- In the list of issue, click on the corresponding issue
- Scroll down the page and add your request in the description windows.
- Click on
Comment
Note: in the description, explain as precise as possible your request. If it's a bug, include
the error message if there is one, add screenshots if possible...
